Made by Thomas Alva Edison, while working in his lab, succeeds in recovering Mary Had a Little Lamb off of a strip of a spinning cylinder wrapped in tinfoil. This improved version was made due to the last version breaking and not working consistently. The sound quality, portablity, and accuracy were greatly improved in this invintion.
