Description:
Mary claimed the throne following the death of Edward VI, and worked to reverse his reforms. She was fervently Catholic and being a series of mass executions of Protestants. Following Mary, Elizabeth held the throne and continued Edward's Protestant efforts. She was married to King Phillip II of Spain, although she never went to spain.
