Nixon's foreign policy is widely characterised by the normalisation of relations with the PRC and the SALT 1 agreement which limited nuclear arms in the US and USSR. On top of this Nixon also oversaw the end of the war in Vietnam and the Six Day War where the US stopped Israel from completely invading Soviet backed Egypt and Syria.
