Unable to fully contain the Patagonian situation, the control of the Argentine government on the uprisings went from bad to worse. Three subsequent democratically elected governments were tasked with solving the crisis but failed one after another. In response to their incapacity to rule, General Uriburu rose up in 1930 to attempt crushing the revolt.
