While visiting Sarajevo on the 28th of June, Archduke Franz Ferdinand and his wife Sophie narrowly avoided a bomb that was thrown by Serbian nationalists. However, several bistanders were wounded. Wanting to see the wounded at the hospital, Franz Ferdinand decides to make the trip. When his cheufer takes a wrong turn, he and his wife are assassinated by Serb nationalist Gavrilo Princip.Added to timeline:
