dec 29, 1947 - Ford Times printed Arthur H. Lewis’ article, “World’s Safest Drivers” which gave deaf drivers a considerable boost. That article was frequently quoted or referred to years afterwards whenever well-meaning but poorly informed legislators began toying with the idea of introducing legislation to ban deaf drivers.
