nov 28, 1950 - Colombo Plan Established
Description:
On November 28, 1950, the British Commonwealth established the Colombo Plan. It was a method of providing aid to the less developed nations within the Commonwealth. Canada made rather large contributions to the plan, some Canadian actions being: accepting international students, sending experts overseas for technical needs, and sending monetary support. Often, aid went to India and Pakistan.
