Description:
The Edict that ended the French wars of Religion.
Gave both Huguenots and Catholics the right to express their religion and gave Huguenots rights in society (worship, hold office, equality to Catholics in civil law) but made Catholicism the official religion in France.
Eventually overturned by a later king.
