nov 2, 1941 - USSR wildman
Description:
Karapetyan, an officer from the medical service of the Soviet Army, was asked by Buinaksk villagers to examine a kaptar, or Biabin-Guli, they had captured in the nearby mountains. They wanted to know whether the beast was a disguised spy, taken into a cold shed, where the "man" was being held. he was about 6 ft tall but appeared "like a giant" to Kerapetyan, who noticed that his eyes where "dull and empty-those of an animal". and his fingers where exceptionally large. The Kaptar was hairy, his human-shaped chest, back and shoulders, the fur was like that of a bear and about 1 inch long, but below the chest, it was softer and thinner. Karapetyan concluded it was'nt a spy, but an unknown person or animal.
