Description:
During the 18th to the 20th Century a large number of automatons were designed and created. One of the most famous devices was The Digesting Duck, created by Jacques de Vaucanson and unveiled on the 30th of May, 1739.
The duck appeared to have the ability to consume, digest and defecate food, but in reality it was just an illusion, as there were pre-stored feces and no actual digestion.
However the duck did feature accurate eating movements.
