Description:
On June 11th, 2008, the Iowa River reached levels over the capacity of the Coralville Spillway, bringing the Great Iowa Flood of 2008 to Iowa City. One effect of the flood's devastation was the University of Iowa's art museum being rendered uninsurable, forcing its collection to be relocated to the Figgee museum in Davenport for storage until a new museum can be built.Photo: Alan Light
