jul 18, 1925 - Mein Kampf Published
Description:
On this day, Hitler published Mein Kampf, the book where he wrote about his life and his political beliefs.
By 1933, the book had made 1.2 Reichmarks of revenue (an average teacher's salary was 4800 Reichmarks) and it was a major factor in spreading Nazi ideology.
When he became Chancellor the book was given to every newlywed couple and soldier, and sold over 5.2 million copies before WW2 had even begun.
If Hitler had died before this date, Nazi ideas would be far less widespread and well-known, and it probable that the German people may never have turned to such an extreme nationalist group as the Nazis to "solve their problems".
