Description:
The Alert Bay vocalizations were recorded in october of 2016, although the vocalizations were apparently heard quite commonly. Alert Bay is a first-nations village on Alert Bay Island north of Vancouver Island. Although there is little forest in Alert Bay Island, less than 1.5 km away is the uninhabited Pearse Islands that are known to have grizzly bears, so it isn't far fetched other large omnivores could live there as well.Added to timeline:
