Ape Canyon, a gorge near Mount Saint Helens, Washington is known for it's bigfoot sightings and are seen so commonly it is named after them. But in July 16th 1924 a group of prospectors were bombarded with rocks by a group of "mountain-devils" and at one point stuck their hand through their cabins window. Fred Beck, one of the prospectors, shot one wounding him, they then fled into the woods.
