HEADER: RECOVERY OF SUM/UNIDENT ORIGIN OBJECT AND ENEMY INTELLIGENCE, THREAT ASSESSMENT
BODY: On 23 January 2053, the NT/PROD/SCI/AM recovered a SUM/UNIDENT origin object from ████████████
in an expedition led by the facility.
Assets on the expedition in descending order of value: Assistant head of facility NT/PROD/SCI
#35521, 2 full sets of Thermal Hazard P equipment, 2 low margin hazardous terrain crossing aids in
the form of self-retracting harpoon guns with laser distancers, 1 NT/SEC (#7134514).
Mission was a reasonable success, providing us wider information about the nature of the targeted
SUM/UNIDENT objects. Interest level in all objects is suggested to be modified from maroon to
goldenrod or higher if the obtained intelligence proves to be true. Losses incurred during the
mission: 1 full set of Thermal Hazard P equipment, 1 low margin hazardous terrain crossing aid, 1
NT/SEC (#7134514). Recovered objects during the mission: 4 pieces of enemy intelligence, 1
SUM/UNIDENT now marked as #46-17536.
Excerpts from report of NT/PROD/SCI #35521 (clearance: CORE/128/SPEC):
"We found a cavern at the location designated by the radio chatter and files extracted by our
contact inside ██, ████████████████████████████████████. Access was easy, no hostile wildlife
detected. The object was in plain sight along with three documents, albeit across a flow of hot
lava. #7134514 crossed the stream and examined a box that was left behind for previously unknown
reason. As he reached inside, he set off some sort of contraption, instantly blowing him to bits. I
also crossed the stream and collected the documents peculiarly scattered around the object's
location, along with the object itself."
The documents recovered are ostensibly aimed at our operation, leading us to believe we have been
widely discovered in enemy circles. Verification of the documents is still in progress, but multiple
inconsistencies point towards that while the documents are mostly authentic, information found in
them is exaggerated or downright false. Based on one of the documents, we assume that our reports
have leaked, and the individuals in question are aware of its contents.
Another document recovered was detailing test data regarding the recovered SUM/UNIDENT object. The
data indicates that the researchers should still be in possession of the object, which is
questionable, as the object was still at its original location. We do not discard the possibility of
the authenticity of the document, however, as theories suggest the objects are capable of returning
to a familiar location at will.
