Description:
The rise of reformist leader Alexander Dubcek saw the granting of more individual rights and freedoms, loosened restrictions on freedom of press, speech, and travel, and restricted the power of the secret police in Czechoslovakia Secret Republic. The Soviet-lead communist bloc disapproved of this and several Eastern European nations invaded the CSSR. In a year, the country returned back to normal.
