jan 26, 2002 - Big companies wanted to recruit mark
Description:
Like a tech world version of an all-star athlete big named companies wanted to recruit him right out of high school but he wasn`t impressed by that and chose instead to enter Harvard in 2002. There he got himself in trouble because he hacked into the school’s computers to collect images of students, and then he created something called facemach a webpage with the main idea that people could decide whether someone was hot o not. The harvard administration charged him with breaching security, violating copyrights and violating individual privacy, but by then facemach was a campus sensation and that helped him see his future.
He realized he had built a tool that was very popular, and started thinking what he could make next.
