The Administering Authorities decided that no further progress could be made towards solving the Ewe problem until the actual wishes and interests of the two territories had been established. The CUT was against the two stage election procedure and finally decided to boycott the Commission altogether and was backed by the AEC which also boycotted it.Added to timeline:
