Description:
Geyer (left) began attending Northwestern when she was just 16! She had grown up on the Far South Side of Chicago and had graduated from her high school with highest honors. While at Northwestern, Geyer was heavily involved on campus and was a member of Alpha Chi Omega. She traveled during her time at school , spending winter quarter of her third year in Mexico which is what began her lifelong affair with world travel. In 1956 Geyer went to Vienna on a Fullbright scholarship and explored Europe extensively before returning to the United States in the fall of 1957.
