apr 3, 1873 - Randolph dies, Longstreet becomes 4th CSA President
Description:
Not the last Confederate president to die in office, Randolph succumbed to his TB and left Longstreet to be sworn in as his replacement. Longstreet will be remembered as one of the best leaders in Dixon history, notably for his attempt to end slavery and ruthless dedication to a policy which strengthened both the CSA and the CSA's alliances, an issue which had been seen as one or the other in the previous two presidencies.
