apr 2, 1982 - Martian Exploration Rover
Description:
Following the scientific success of the American-made solar probes almost a decade prior to this event, multiple conjoined operators working under one similar space contract previously dedicated toward creating something worth American praise then worked to generate plans to land a functioning robot on the surface of Terra's closest corpus comrade: Mars. This planet would serve significant interest to many future businesses later in history, as it always seemed to be throughout the course of astronomy. At this moment, the Americans were determined to be the first to step foot on Mars after their recent morale loss with the space program in general. However, with the Soviet era coming to a near conclusion, hopes to secure victory this round seemed higher than usual, giving the American spirit another chance to thrive.
