jan 5, 1968 - Network Capable Computers
Description:
Following the previous successful attempts at creating a functioning network system for military purposes, multiple groups of predominantly American scientists manage to calibrate and secure the first official stable connection between several manned-communication systems around the country, marking the early physical concepts of the first modern computers (and internet). Defensive against potential Russian invasions, this massive government project remained in secrecy until the public announcement of said device was addressed years after this event.
