jun 30, 1844 - Electrotyping

Description:

This method was first created in Germany and eventually the United States and England. The Process used electroplating copper or another metal that was placed onto a mould that would usually be made from wax. Then the mould would be removed, leaving a metal shell behind. This method was good for longer runs, however, It could be damaged quite easily.
