aug 15, 0 - vision approaches to
that of adults
Description:
at 8 months
- neurons in visual cortex develop rapidly during the first 6 months; low acuity due to this and to poorly developed and few cones while the rods are adultlike
-> not really colour perception
-> no fine details because most of the light entering the newborn's fovea gets lost in the spaces between the cones and cannot be used for vision (cones packed too losely)
