Some were certainly imported: 1471 <i>60 inkhorns</i>, Hull (YRS144/145); 1577 <i>iij brusshes, ynkhornes</i>, Richmond (SS26/270); 1612 <i>1 standinge pen and inkehorne with a dusteboxe</i>, Brandsby (NYRO44/35); 1685 <i>stole one inckehorne, one bunch of quills</i>, Huddersfield (QS).Added to timeline:
