Description:
Nails used at Hull when the south ferry boat was repaired. 1464-5 ‘And paid for various sharplings and seventy <i> kelsetnayles </i> used there, 20½d’ (YRS141/100). The meaning is obscure but perhaps the nails had been made at Kelsit Grange in the parish of Sutton on the Forest. See thornhill nails.
