On September 12th, 1969, a prominent figure of the Black Panther party is found murdered outside of a building in Los Angeles. The Black Panther party was being directly taken down by the COINTELPRO system in the FBI and they were working to almost assassinate the bigger names in the party. The downfall of the Black Panther party became obvious as more members were being taking out and the party was finding it harder and harder to gain any ground on achieving equality for African American communities.Added to timeline:
