Description:

The COINTELPRO was the counterintelligence agency in the United States that had been fighting against communism and other radicals group that had been prevalent in the United States for a couple of years. In 1967 the COINTELPRO agency turned their attention to the Black Panther party as the next radical group to take down. This showed how the Black Panther party was going to have trouble gaining momentum, as the FBI had set it sights on actively taking down the “radical” party.
