Description:

The Black Panther political party was formed in 1966 by Malcolm X compatriots Huey Newton and Bobby Seale. The organization's main goal was to protest more violently the police brutality throughout the nation and gave arms to citizens to patrol cities like Oakland and other US cities. The organization later declined as competition within the organization and deadly shootouts and FBI programs dedicated to weakening the organizations popularity. This organization was important because it led to the protection of the African American community even though it was through more violent means
