jun 12, 1967 - Loving vs. Virginia

Description:

At the time people were not allowed to marry between race and that was considered socially, a very odd and bad thing to do. The case was based on Richard and Mildred Loving, a white man and black woman whose marriage was illegal according to Virginia state law. The Loving vs. Virginia decision was made to break down the barriers on states laws that had deemed interracial marriage illegal in 1967.
