Description:

The Operation codenamed, “Rolling Thunder” began on March 2nd 1965, and lasted until November 1st, 1968, being the first large scale effort by the Americans in the Vietnamese War. The operation called for absolute destruction and bombing of North Vietnamese targets and was aimed to set the North Vietnamese scale back in the war. The bombing made it finally appear that the US were in the Vietnamese War for the long haul and going to use everything to defeat the North Vietnamese.
