Description:

The Tet-offensive was the Northern Vietnamese attempt at surprising and demolishing the United States and Southern Vietnamese forces. The attack began on Jan 30, 1968, when North Vietnamese forces attacked around 100 cities and outposts in South Vietnam. The United States and the Southern Vietnamese forces held off the attacks, but the brutality of the battles surfaced in America and immediately the Americans took the battle as a loss. As a consequence of this, the Americans had to endure a slow withdrawal from the Vietnamese War.
