jun 25, 1950 - Korean War (beginning and end)

Description:

Along with many other countries being pressured to be taken over by Communist ideology, Korea became the next target for Communism. On June 25th, 1950, began when around 75,000 North Korea troops moved across the 38th parallel and were met with heavy resistance by South Koreans, and the American troops that had entered the war. The fighting hardly ever moved beyond the 38th parallel and the American officials were working vigorously to reach an armistice ceasefire with the North Koreans. In July, 1953, the agreement finally succeeded, although a treaty was never signed the war ended and the two remain separated still.
