After years of people realizing they had no backdrop or relief system if they were to retire early or be relieved from their job at an old age. On August 14, 1935, the Social Security Act was established to give old age people benefits and to help them out when they can’t work anymore, but still receiving a small pension to stay a float, it became a federal safety net for elders. The Act also established the Social Security Board to structure the Social Security Act and figure out the plan of implementing it
