Description:

Congress passed and later ratified the 13th Amendment. This abolished any form of slavery in every area. The passing of this amendment was one of the main causes for the Civil War. The war split many friends and family apart based on their beliefs. African American's dealt the most impact with no job opportunities and hatred towards them constantly.
