The March of Washington was a major protest to draw attention to many of the challenges/ inequalities African Americans continued to face. Around 250,000 people gathered at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C. for this event. Here, is also where Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. delivered his now famous “I have a dream” speech. It was about a day when everyone will be actually by equal and treated in the same manner.
