Description:
The Civilian Conservation Corps was a public work relief program that helped employ the unemployed, unmarried men ages 17-28. The CCC was a large part of Roosevelt’s New Deal. It helped relieve families that couldn’t find work during the Great Depression. It was a huge success with 3 million men participation over its 9 years period. It also brought the public’s awareness to nature and the outdoors and helped create many of today's National Parks.
