Description:
Hueys trial lasted from July 15th - September 8th 1968. He was accused of first-degree murder, kidnap and felonious assault. By the end of the trial, Huey Newton was guilty of manslaughter, but his kidnap charge was removed and he was found not guilty of felonious assault. Huey being sent to jail resulted in the Free Huey Movement.Added to timeline:
