jan 1, 1865 - Freedman's Bureau

Description:

This law gave former slaves a more civilized life with education, medicine, food, and clothes. The law creating Freedman’s Bureau was vetoed before by President Johnson, but the Radical republicans, now under the Congress’ control, were able to override these vetoes. It was made for the reason of inequality still and helping them economically.
