mar 6, 1951 - Rosenberg Trial

Description:

On March 6th, 1951, the trial of Ethel and Julius Rosenberg began. The Rosenbergs were accused of espionage, because it was claimed that they had passed on information about nuclear weapons to the Soviets. They were tried in a trial that lasted over a month and found guilty, despite pretty weak evidence. Many left-wing supporters believed that they were only convicted due to their membership with the Communist Party. They were sentenced to execution, but still did not plea guilty.
