The Attack on Pearl Harbor happened at a naval base on Oahu, Hawaii. On December 7, 1941, Japanese forces launched a surprise attack on the naval base. 2,400 Americans died and 1,000 were wounded. Also, 300 airplanes, eight battleships and 20 American naval vessels were either destroyed or damaged.
