The Social Security Act was a part of Roosevelt’s New Deal. It helped by providing aid to the elderly once they reached the age of 65. It also help people temporarily if they were unemployed or disabled. This is still around today so it was very successful, however it is dwindiling and many sucpect it wont last much longer.Added to timeline:
