Description:
 The Oregon Trail was the only practical way for migrants to make the dangerous and lengthy journey west.
The trail was 3200km long and took 4 months to complete. 
Problems travelling west:
-getting stuck
-falling ill
-running out of supplies 
-extreme weather
Migrants were advised to travel in groups, with people with a wide range of skills and plan their journey carefully.
