On August 31st, 1997, Lady Diana, her Egyptian boyfriend Dodi Fayed, and her driver Henri Paul all died in a car crash in Paris. Diana's bodyguard Trevor Rees-Jones survived. Mr. Paul was found to be intoxicated and have antidepressants in his system, and tried to escape paparazzi, causing the crash. Nobody wore seat belts, either. Six months later, the paparazzi who had chased them was convicted with manslaughter.
