FDR died on April 12th. The cause of death was said to be a massive cerebral hemorrhage which caused him to faint. His family was informed and his wife later told Harry Truman. Truman was the Vice President at the time, and was later sworn into be President. He was left with the decision of whether to continue with the atomic bomb.Added to timeline:
