Description:

With the first article published in the paper, the party was gaining support and publicity around the state and the country. On June in 1967, riots exploded in Newark, Cleveland and Detroit, cities with a large population of supporters. Hundreds of supporters from the party participated in their riots, and they continued to fight against police brutality and the murdering of black people. Because the party believed in nonviolence and did not support the use of weapons, the party creates a program that will benefit children in the community. This program created shows their involvement in the community and their support for their nonviolent ideals.
