14-year-old Emmett Till from Chicago who was visiting his family in Mississippi was murdered for allegedly flirting with a lady in a drug store. He was killed by the woman's husband and brother, they were found not guilty. Emmett's mother decided to have an open casket at his funeral to show everyone what the racist murders had done to her only son.
