Description:
Khrushchev disapproved of Nagy's reforms and 200,000 Soviet troops invaded Hungary. 5000 Hungarians were killed and 1000 soviet troops. Nagy was executed and a new leader, Kadar was appointed, who re-established communist rule, but his policies were more moderate than that of other satellite states, and resulted in Hungary having better living standards.
