Description:
Martin Luther King was assassinated when staying in Memphis, Tennessee to support a sanitation workers strike. He was shot in the neck by a snipers bullet and was pronounced dead around 7 PM. A famous leader and face of the civil rights movement, his assassination shook our nation.
