Description:

The Berlin Wall was a barrier built in Germany that physically separated East and West Berlin in two separate states. This wall was built after the collapse of Germany, which affected the entire country. East Berlin was considered the communist side and West Berlin was now the free democratic side. Citizens were unable to cross the border, and were killed, injured, or heavily punished if they tried.
